Go to /nxfilter/bin and try to run startup.sh with root permission,

    Code:
    cd /nxfilter/bin
    ./startup.sh
And see the same thing happens.

Did you set that permissions by yourself? Delete everything under /nxfilter and then download our zip package and then unzip it. You need Wget and Unzip.

        Code:
        cd /nxfilter
        rm -rf *
        wget https://pub.nxfilter.org/nxfilter-4.5.2.3.zip
        unzip nxfilter-4.5.2.3.zip
        cd bin
        chmod +x *.sh
        sudo ./startup.sh

Using zip file and starting clean same error,

          pi@raspberrypi:/nxfilter/bin $ sudo chmod +x *.sh
          pi@raspberrypi:/nxfilter/bin $ sudo ./startup.sh

Did you see any trace file in /nxfilter/db?

Try 'ls -la /nxfilter/db' and show me the result.

I just downloaded the zip package and try to run startup.sh on our Ubuntu system. This is what we get,

                  Code:
                  root@ubuntu1804:/mxfilter/bin# ./startup.sh

                  ........
If it's crashed while it's creating DB, you should get some error log for that in /nxfilter/db. So, I guess it's stopped before the creating process if you have nothing in the directory.

Sorry. I misunderstood. You have lock files. That means it tried to create it and the error is not internal. Something is not allowing it to create files.

You can't open SSH to your server I guess. Right?

I was finally able to get it after rebooting and making sure all directories were removed, thanks for all your help.
