  • No error message

    Hi

When I active Silent block option like this:

Name:	nxfilter1.png
Views:	472
Size:	26.9 KB
ID:	98

This is the behavior on user's browser tryan to access to block categories: the user receives an immediate message like this:

Name:	nxfilter2.png
Views:	450
Size:	357.7 KB
ID:	100

And when I uncheck the same Silent Block option, this is the behavior: Browser wait a lot time from nxFilter up to show a similar error, but in this case the browser says that domain took too long to respond:

Name:	nxfilter3.png
Views:	448
Size:	392.4 KB
ID:	105

I understand that the Silence Block option is designed to avoid receiving the error message. But the problem is that I can't see the error page when I don't use Silence Block.
I have tried with HTTP and HTTPS sites. In no case do I get any messages from the nxFilter server. I don't even get a SSL warning message in the case of HTTPS pages.

How can I enable the option to show the error message for blocking?

    NxFilter Version 4.5.2.1

    Thanks

    From our tutorial,

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    - Silent Block

With this option enabled, we don't do block redirection. So, there's no block page to be shown. This option is for the users wanting to block a website silently. On user browser, it will be appeared as a connection problem or a DNS resolution failure. This option is also useful when you want to hide the SSL warning from blocking HTTPS request.
Even if you use 'Slient Block' option, 'Block Redirection IP' is still needed for login redirection and some other internal purposes.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You get an error page anyway. Some people want to block it not showing block page and Silent Block option is for them.

If you want to show block page on HTTPS, read this,

Hi, thanks for answering, but that is not que question.

What I mean, is that I never see the block page that you can custom on Config -> block page menu:

Name:	nxfilter5.png
Views:	420
Size:	347.2 KB
ID:	111

How can I do in order that show thie block page to the users? I mean, this block page:

Name:	nxfiler4.png
Views:	422
Size:	441.9 KB
ID:	113

As I said before, I have tryed on HTTP an HTTPS sites; enabling and disabling the Silence block, etc. but block page doesn't work.

      Best regards

Don't use Silent Block if you want to show your block page to your users. And your browser try to use HTTPS first. So, install CxForward first. And then try to access a blocked website on your browser.
