We count the number of DNS request for a day as well.

    https://nxfilter.org/tutorial/i-faq....c-license-user

You can make 75000 requests a day. Your Request Count is 92299.

Hello, I am trying to figure out how the licensing model works. I am currently using J List which includes 30 free licenses. I understand the license count is either by usernames or IP addresses, which ever is greater. I also read that each user is measured at 4000 unique requests per day. In theory, the license would be 30 free licenses x 4000 unique requests = 120,000 requests daily, 'A' records. Is that correct?

If you have heavy internet users (ie more than 4000 requests per day), your license count could be less. Nonetheless, the ceiling is still 30 licenses even if the total unique requests is under the 120,000 threshold. Is that correct?

I'm trying to confirm as there are two models described in the literature. It seems a mix of both, 1) user total unique requests, as well as 2) licenses. We are a small office but with many IP based devices these days, I'm sure I will need to purchase additional licenses. Before doing so, I want to gain a further understanding of how this works.

Based on data, I understand our license count would be 17 (based on the client IP count which exceeds users). At the same time, the total unique requests is 27,865. Are you saying we are allowed up to 30 (users or client IPs) OR 4000 unique requests per user? At 30 total free licenses that would be 120,000 unique requests. Can you please clarify?

Your count is just 17 and it should be covered with the free license. And the total unique request is way less than 120,000. In your case, maybe just the number of IPs if you have many devices. I don't think you will exceed the number of request limit easily.

Thank you for the clarification. Our small office is low on people at the moment as well as light on the unique requests as we don't have heavy internet users at the present. I do think, we will need to increase the license count in the near future. I am keeping tabs on the logs, reports, etc. as I just implemented NXF this week. I just wanted to write and query how exactly the licensing works. Appears to be two fold with both unique requests as well as user client count.
