  • How to understand the licences

    Hi !!

I have installed a nxfilter on a linux server. It works fine.
Now Im looking the information about the licences and its very confusing.

https://nxfilter.org/p3/jahaslist/ talks abou jahalist (whats a jahalist?) and third party list. Whats the difference between those options?

I will use the nxfilter server to serve many diferents places (like malls, restaurants, cinemas, etc), so its very confusing how to understand the "users" term. How do you count the users?

About NXcloud I couldnt find licence information. If I install NxCloud on my own server, how is the licence options? and what is the price if nxcloud is used on your servers?

    Regards

You can use one license for one site basically. However, you can create a cluster if you need more servers and add up to 4 slave nodes into one cluster. So, if you use clustering, you can share your license for 5 servers including your master node.

Jahaslist is ours and Cloudlist is from 3rd party. Jahaslist works hybrid way. It has a local database which gets updated once a day. If it can't find a domain in its local database then its dynamic classifier works to inspect the site linked to the domain. If it fails to classify the domain then it queries to our cloud based classifier. So it's a hybrid system between cloud and local. Cloudlist doesn't have a local database. It works fully cloud way.

In old days, we have a different license policy for NxCloud as it's a commercial software. Later, we made it working with our domain categorization database license. So, you can use Jahaslist or Cloudlist license for NxCloud. You also can use NxRelay for the places having bigger number of users. NxRelay will reduce the workload for your servers in cloud. Thank you!!

So, in this moment NXcloud and NXFilter uses the same licence?

Can I install a Cluster of up to 4 NxCloud servers using the same licence?

      Thanks

Yes. You can use one license file for all the cluster nodes. It's actually 5 nodes including your master node.
