Clarification on Blocklist Subdomain Blocking

I'm looking into NxFilter and I have a question regarding how blocklists handle subdomains.

The documentation on https://demo.nxfilter.org/classifier,blocklist.jsp mentions that blocklists can be merged and should list "domains separated by newlines or should be in /etc/hosts file format."

If I add a domain like example.com to a custom blocklist (or a merged blocklist), will NxFilter automatically block all subdomains of example.com (e.g., www.example.com, mail.example.com, anything.else.example.com) or only the exact domain example.com?

Yes. It blocks the subdomains of a domain basically.
