  • NxFilter SSO 802.1x Issue

Heyy, i tried the sso by 802.1x
I set my laptop's DNS as NxFitler and setup a RADIUS profile on my UniFi AP as RADIUS authentication on my NPS server and RADIUS accounting on NxFilter
I then connected to the Wi-Fi using a user that has social network and shopping blocked on NxFilter, and it indeed did block facebook.com and walmart.com.
However, when I disconnected from the Wi-Fi network that has the above mentioned RADIUS profile and connected to another Wi-Fi network without RADIUS or anything just a regular Wi-Fi network, the blocks were still in place.
I ran ipconfig /flushdns and opened a new incognito window and it's still blocking.

How does the authentication on 802.1x work? Might there be a session that is still open on NxFilter that links my laptop to the user?

PS: the laptop is not domain joined, but I connected to the Wi-Fi using domain credentials

Yeah, there's IP session. Once we associate an IP to a username, it continues as long as there's a request from the IP. If there's no activity for sometime then it expires. You can set Login Session TTL to adjust this session timeout on 'System > Setup'.

When you access http://your-nxfilter-ip/logout from user PC, the session expires.
