  • NxFilter and Active Directory

Good morning Team, I have a question. How can I use NxFilter within Active Directory Environment.
    For example:

I have a Domain Controller and it is the DNS server, When I install NxProxy on one computer it sets 127.0.0.1 as DNS, I changed manually the DNS on the NIC of the computer and added as preferred DNS my Active Directory, and as Alternate DNS 127.0.0.1 by doing this I was able to add the computer to the Domain, but when I restarted the computer I tried to login with a domain user, but I received a message saying that the domain controller is not available.
I logged in with a local user and check the DNS configuration and indeed it was not available since NxProxy override the configuration and set 127.0.0.1 as preferred DNS.

I would like to know how I can work with both DNS. do I have to do any special configuration?

    Thank you in advance.

NxProxy is a DNS server and it needs to change its system DNS to point itself. That's why it changes system DNS settings. So, leave it to be 127.0.0.1.

To bypass Active Directory domain to MS DNS server on DC, set Local Domain and Local DNS on 'Policy > NxProxy'.
