  • Admin Block option in the whitelist does not work

It looks like the Admin Block option in the whitelist does not work in the latest version 4.6.7.4 on Win7, although the Drop Packet option works. Checked through the browser and cmd - nslookup domain.net ...

Works fine with my testing. How did you test it? When you test NxFilter, try to use Nslookup or Dig.

It didn't work last night, everything works this morning after night, after lunch I check - it doesn't work again (it is not replaced in nslookup by the ip address of the server itself, and when it was replaced, there were 2 identical ones there). Does it depend by chance on the paid version? Although the "Drop Packet" function continues to work all the time... The server is in a well-loaded state...

No. It's not a paid feature. Just add a new entry with Admin Block option and see if it works or not. And didn't you make it policy specific?

All by default. Yesterday, today - it doesn't work, early in the morning - it worked, didn't change anything...

How did you test it? Did you use Nslookup or Dig? What's the command you used? Something like:

            Code:
            nslookup block-domain.com. your-server-ip

              nslookup block-damain.com
although this command gives the same
              nslookup block-domain.com. your-server-ip

Send us your config DB backup file from System > Backup at support@nxfilter.org and tell me what's the domain. We can test it here.

I don't see WORKGROUP in your DB but testing.com. When I tried to test it I get 'Too many requests for the license!' log in /nxfilter/log/nxfilter.log. Do you have more than 25 users? You can check it on 'Report > Usage'. The filtering works as long as you don't get a license problem. You can switch it to Globlist if you want to go free.

After all, this is a paid feature)

No. It's not a paid feature as you can use it with Globlist for free. If we make it working with your Jahaslist option and we stop Jahaslist after 25 users, does it make any different for you? Your filtering by categories not working while Admin Block working, that will make even more confusion.

So where do I check the boxes to block only my 20 sites and nothing else (for a large number of LAN clients)?

You mean that you only block 20 domains? Told you to go with Globlist. And create a custom category and put those domains you block. You can put up to 300000 domains there and block the category on a policy level. Or block them on Whitelist with Admin Option as you did.

Aah, I see now! I just didn't understand the logic with different sheets of domain names at first. It turns out that all I had to do was go to "CATEGORY - SYSTEM - Globlist - SUBMIT". Thanks, I've figured it out now! Probably everything will work like clockwork from now on.
