  • non standard port for DSN query

I can enter the non standard port number for upstream DNS if it is local host (127.0.0.1) but not if it is on a different net, I allows me to type in the port number after the colon but when I press submit it deletes the non standard port number

How do I specify a non standard port number for a DNS not on local host?

What's the version? I have no problem with my testing for the latest version.

I don't know if v4.6.3.6 has such a problem but try to update it first.

            I upgraded to v4.6.3.9

            Same result, more explanation

It lets me enter and works with local host 127.0.0.1:5335

            it lets me enter 9.9.9.9:5335

It does not work when I enter 192.168.254.210:5335 and press submit it resets to 192.168.254.210 with no port number

the ip of the machine it is running on is 192.168.1.254, the requests are routed properly to 192.168.254.210 port 53 when I check that

            any ideas

We don't do port checking for that. Send me your config backup from 'System > Backup'. We can try to set it from our system and see what happens. Send it to support@nxfilter.org.

I looked into your DB. For some reason, some update is missing. The column size was not increased. I did it manually and it's OK now. I will send you the fixed config DB file. Stop NxFilter and copy it into /nxfilter/db.

We will update the DB once again by the next version. If you don't want to wait, copy the DB file into your raspberry pi system again and change the config.
