  • REFUESD to Type 65

    Hello good day!
The navigation of one of my nxrelay is down. I enabled nxrelay debug and found the following error message.
    RHr, REFUESD to Type 65

As the problem happens from time to time, I can't find the problem.

In this case, why am I getting a REFUESD to type 65?

How can I set traps to find the problem?

    Nxrelay Version: 2.7.5

Type 65 is from Apple. They introduced something new with DoH. And it makes a lot of extra traffic and it will bypass your DNS filtering when people use type 65 records in their DNS servers. Last time, when I checked it seems like there's nobody use it. So, we send REFUSED as the answer for that query.

What do you mean by 'down'? I have never heard that NxRelay crashed so far.

The Nxrelay service is operating normally. To describe it better, the navigation is oscillating. The strangest thing about this is that the machine that is making these requests is windows.
I was monitoring all the REFUSED and apparently, the domains related to google are the ones that show this message the most.

When type 65 query fails, it will send a normal A query again. Don't know why your Windows system sending it though.
