  • Exclude Keywords

    Hello,

With the latest updates we have some extra AD Groups that were imported, Im trying to exclude these groups, but it doesn't seems to work. I have tried by entering a simple keyword, using " ", and using [ ] but the Exclude Keyword field continue to shows empty after submitting the keywords; not sure if that's how it supposed to work or if it should list the keywords that I have entered?
I manually deleted the Groups but they will get imported on the next sync. I updated to the latest version 4.6.3.8 but the issue persist.

    Thanks,

Maybe there's an error on GUI level. You are using the old default GUI. https://tutorial.nxfilter.org/h-sandwatch.php

So, you can try the new one for that.

And what kind of groups are they? Do they have group members? Anything common for them?

Just tested the old GUI. It works fine. If you see any config*trace* file in /nxfilter/log directory. Send it to 'support @ nxfilter.org'.

There were several major changes for Active Directory importation this year. We now import Group in Group relations and we support Azure Active Directory. For these changes, we had to rewrite many parts of the importation module. In old days, we didn't import groups not having any user I guess. Maybe we need to introduce the rule again as an option.

          Try this one, http://pub.nxfilter.org/nxfilter-4.6.3.9.zip

It's v4.6.3.9 we are working on. We added Exclude Empty Group option on 'User > Active Directory > EDIT > Advanced'. At default, the option is on and it works as before.

Ok thanks for your quick response, I will try today the newer version and see if we can install the new GUI. They are nested Groups, Groups inside other Groups, some of them do not have any members; but importing seems to be working as expected, according to the new changes that you mentioned. Thanks!

There's a bug for not allowing multiple MS DNS IP. Use single IP for the moment. We will fix it in several days.

Using Single IP fixed the issue for now. We will apply the patch whenever is released. Thanks for the help.

It's updated but you already installed the same version so you need to download its zip package again and replace /nxfilter/nxd.jar file with the new one. Download this one, http://pub.nxfilter.org/nxfilter-4.6.3.9.zip
