  • Good practice to develope a service business

    Hi

In documentation i have read some parts talking about to create real service business solution.

Can you complie some advices to develop a serrvice business? ( to offer DNS filter to other businees, using only one own cluster)
    Something about:
    - Operative system
    - Sizing of servers
    - Separation between logging and reporting
    - How to deploy a HA solution

    Etc

    Thanks

6GB of RAM would be enough. You can allocate 4GB to NxCloud and keep 2GB for future. However, 3GB of RAM for NxCloud would be enough in our experience so if you want to save your money you can go with systems having 4GB of RAM.

If you want to use one cluster, the connection between cluster nodes should be fast enough. Basically you can have better performance when you have all the nodes in one location.

For separating logging/reporting, we only can say try to use Graylog. They offer a lot of functions. And think about why other cloud service provide only simple report. It's about performance. I actually think it's too detailed when it comes to NxCloud logging/reporting. You don't want to slow it down by having some users try to load his reports 100 times a day.

Try to use NxRelay for bigger client sites. It reduces workload for NxCloud greatly. Some of our users runs almost 200 NxRelay nodes.
